Biography
Mouzinho Saíde, MD, MPH. is currently the Director General of Maputo Central Hospital and lecturer of Public Health.
He a Medical Doctor with specialization in Public Health and a Master in Public Health in the area of Health Program Management,from Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia. From 2005 to 2013 was National Director of Public Health, and from 2015-2017 served as a Deputy Minister of Health of Mozambique.
Dr. Saíde has also working experience at WHO, as a National Professional Officer for Integrated Management of Childhood Illness, from 2001 to 2004. In 2012 was Chair of the Program Budget and Administration Committee, and in 2013 was Vice President of the WHO Executive Board.
During 30 years of experience has worked at district, provincial and central levels, as medical officer, head of various departments and programs including HIV/AIDS, Malaria and Tuberculosis Program and Health Education Program.
He is a member ofseveral organizations and professional associations in the areas of public health, pediatric AIDS, Tuberculosis, Malaria, Cancer and Mental Health. Is co-PI and involved in multicentrics projects of cancer and also coordinate many international groups for training and education of health professionals in cancer at Maputo Central Hospital.
